Responsibilities

We have an exciting opportunity for an outstanding Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) to join our well-established group in Augusta, Georgia. Piedmont Augusta (formerly University Hospital) is an 812-bed, acute-care facility that serves the Augusta-Richmond County area and 25 counties across two states.

  • Coverage includes a 28-bed Level-III NICU and Normal Newborn Nursery with approximately 3000 deliveries per year and an average daily NICU census of 15.

  • Team of 4 Neonatologists and 5 full-time Neonatal Nurse Practitioners with 24/7 in-house NNP coverage and physician call from home.

  • Five NNPs work 12-hour shifts, in-house attending deliveries, writing orders, and managing newborns.

  • NNPs have their own office and call room.

  • NNPs have equal day/night and weekend shifts over the year. Clinical pathways, donor breast milk, and common practice style allow for optimal outcomes.

  • Healthy, family-oriented culture.

  • No surgical, iNO, or therapeutic hypothermia patients (regional referral center is one mile away).

  • Competitive salary with bonus opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Current APRN national specialty certification.

  • Minimum of a master's degree.
